The Basque Government’s second commercial office in the United States opens in San Francisco
- There are now 12 offices abroad to support Basque Businesses that belong to the SPRI Group, as well as public corporations that are part of the Department of Industry, Innovation, Trade and Tourism. Between all its own offices and consultants, this service is offered in 62 countries.
- The Industry has been supporting the internationalisation of Basque companies in the United States since 2001, and in 2008 they created the SPRI representative office in the United States, currently located in Philadelphia.
From tomorrow, the Basque Government will have its second office in the United States, once the Deputy Minister for Innovation and Technology, Juan Goicolea, inaugurates it. These headquarters of the SPRI as well as the public-owned companies belonging to the Department of Industry, Innovation, Trade and Tourism are dedicated to helping Basque Businesses in San Francisco. The other office in Philadelphia opened 4 years ago.
With this new office, there will be 12 offices in total that the Basque Government has abroad to promote the internationalisation of Basque companies. At its core, is the Competitive Plan of the Department of Industry, Innovation, Trade and Tourism, which is carried out through the SPRI’s external network amongst others.
