“Green Park” aims to promote a more responsible production and consumption system, implementing measures that encourage the rational use of resources, more efficient mobility and universal accessibility to all the spaces and services of the Park and its campuses.

Euskadi Technology Park has launched the “Green Park” Public Procurement of Innovation action to implement measures that encourage a rational and sustainable use of the territory and resources, while promoting mobility and universal accessibility to all the spaces and services of the Park and its campuses.

The aim of this initiative is to encourage more responsible production and consumption, generating a positive impact on the health of the planet and protecting and improving the management of resources, aspects that are a priority for the Euskadi Technology Park. Proposals can be submitted through the SPRI Group website at this link.

In order to facilitate the achievement of the objectives pursued, the Public Procurement of Innovation has been divided into two challenges. On the one hand, the “Green Park” challenge, oriented towards energy transition and climate neutrality and which aims to respond to the goals set out in the Park’s Strategic Plan, such as achieving energy self-sufficiency by 2035 or reducing energy consumption by 60% by 2050.

On the other hand, the second challenge has to do with the consolidation of a “resilient and biodiverse” Park. Among the goals set is the need to move towards a more sustainable urban development, as well as to face the challenge of the “heat island” effect caused by climate change or the creation of a Landscape Action Plan.

Overall, CPI’s action aims to provide effective responses in three main areas: Sustainability – contributing to the improvement of the environment from the Park -, Mobility – establishing policies that optimise travel – and Accessibility – guaranteeing the right of all people to access the Park’s physical environments and services.
