The second phase of expansion from San Sebastián Technology Park to Hernani will cost more than €9 million

The works which began in 2011, will give an additional 150,000 square metres of park space, including the ‘Pole of Innovation’ by the company Orona. The total amount of investment into the expansion project is around €120 million . The first phase site preparation is almost finished and the second, which will shortly be put out to tender, will tackle the urbanisation, taking 12 months to complete. The Director of San Sebastián Technology Park, Estefania Morcillo, highlights that it will be a benchmark in solutions of urban mobility and in intelligent electronic transport.

 San Sebastián Technology Park will shortly put out to tender Phase 2 of its expansion project of Galarreta Park (Hernani) which when completed, is expected to generate a thousand jobs. This second phase of the expansion project, which will give another 150,000 square metres of space (Miramón Park has 1,300,000 square metres at the moment), will be put out to tender with a budget of €9 million and a project duration of 12 months.

The expansion works to Galarreta means the creation of a campus part of San Sebastián Technology Park, expects to represent a total investment of €120 million over five years. Started in February 2011 Phase 1, which some €5 million was invested in, now finds itself practically complete. Phase 2, which now is being put out to tender, will tackle the urbanisation part of the project.
