120 voices sought for the new ‘Abestu Euskadiko Orkestrarekin’ initiative

Gipuzkoa

This is the first edition of a participatory project in which non-professional singers will have the opportunity to go on stage and sing with Euskadiko Orkestra

Singing ‘Va Pensiero’, ‘Il Trovatore’ and ‘Maite’ will be a reality for those who wish to sing live with a great orchestra

Abestu Euskadiko Orkestrarekin will make its debut in its first edition within the Symphonic Season, in the programme entitled Glanert / Brahms and conducted by Christoph-Mathias Mueller. The concerts will be held on 13 and 17 March at the Kursaal Auditorium in San Sebastian and on 15 March at the Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao.

In order for this project to become a reality, a total of 120 anonymous and voluntary voices are needed, who must register on the Euskadiko Orkestra website before 10 December. A minimum level of musical training and the ability to read sheet music is a prerequisite for participation. Afterwards, they will have to attend the 10 rehearsals as many times as possible.

The performance of Va Pensiero, Il Trovatore and Maite will take between 10 and 15 minutes for mixed choir and orchestra and will have 40 members of the Easo Choir to support the chosen choral group.

Euskadiko Orkestra encourages you to take advantage of this unique opportunity, perhaps dreamed of, to sing live with a great orchestra on a large stage. All information and registration at euskadikoorkestra.eus.

This initiative is part of ARTIS+, art for social inclusion, a European cross-border cooperation project in which Euskadiko Orkestra is participating until 2027 with partners such as the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, L’Auditori and Orchestre OBC de Barcelona, and the Orchestre de Pau, among others.
