Egunean Behin turns 4 years old and returns to on-site events

Gipuzkoa, News

The most successful game/application in Basque, Egunean Behin, created by CodeSyntax in 2019, has completed four years this week in the course of its eleventh edition, which will culminate with an on-site final at the Donostia Campus of the Euskadi Technology Parks on Friday 31 March

Season 11 of the game has been a similar success to previous seasons. Nearly 50,000 players a day practising their skills and cultural knowledge with the best-known trivia game in the Basque language. The final season prizes will be decided at the on-site final, which will take place on Friday 31 March at 18.00 in the central building of the Donostia Campus of the Euskadi Technology Parks, sponsored by Guuk, which has also supported the game this season, as well as SPRI and the Euskadi Technology Parks.

The first 100 classified in the game will have a place in the final (counting the last day of daily competition on the 26th). However, there will be more places available and a registration form has been opened: https://labur.eus/finala31

The final will be hosted by showman Kike Amonarriz, who hosted the first Egunean Behin on-site event, which took place in December 2019 with great success.

This live format had to be cut short due to the pandemic, although there have been live televised and streaming events in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

After this final on 31 March, the game will rest for Easter, but we can advance that there will be an edition / season number 12. In fact, those who want to continue playing will be able to do so, if they can get by with Catalan, with the Catalan version Un Cop Al Dia, launched 3 weeks ago and which already has 2,500 players a day. The trivia app in Catalan will not rest during the holidays.

Un Cop Al Dia is the third language version of Egunean Behin, the second being Cwis Bob Dydd, the Welsh project that between 2022 and 2023 reached 7,000 users and is now awaiting the launch of the second season.
