K·Business Connecting European TechParks: A New Step Forward in Internationalisation
The K·Business Connecting European TechParks initiative, developed together with Málaga TechPark, Linköping Science Park, Adlershof Science and Technology Park and NOI Techpark, brought together 69 professionals from 64 organisations to foster high-value business collaborations
The Basque Country Technology Park has taken a further step in its internationalisation and business collaboration strategy through its participation as a driving force behind K·Business Connecting European TechParks (CET), an initiative designed to generate new business opportunities among companies located within some of Europe’s leading science and technology parks.
The project, developed in collaboration with Málaga TechPark, Linköping Science Park (Sweden), Adlershof Science and Technology Park (Germany) and NOI Techpark (Italy), has strengthened cooperation between European innovation ecosystems and encouraged the creation of business partnerships with an international outlook.
The initiative connected companies from the five participating parks with five leading European corporations — Sener, Actia, Swobbee, Lynka and HBI — to identify real collaboration opportunities in strategic areas of industry and technology. The programme reinforces European cooperation among science and technology parks through some of their flagship companies, leveraging business challenges and opportunities to generate new partnerships.

The Basque Country Technology Park delegation was made up of 13 companies. From the Vitoria-Gasteiz Campus, participants included CIC energiGUNE, Grupo Tecman, Zizare and OMRON. The Zamudio/Derio Campus was represented by World Mapping Solutions and ZeniaLabs Automatización de Inteligencia, while the Donostia Campus included Alerion Tecnologías, AVL Iberica Euskadi, Biotz, Neety, Lortek, Titanium Industrial Security and Soluciones Integradas ULMA.
The programme was delivered in two phases. The first consisted of an online presentation session by the leading companies, attended by 69 professionals from 64 organisations across the five European parks. The second phase was dedicated to bilateral meetings requested in advance by the participating companies.
In total, 26 organisations requested meetings, of which 16 successfully held at least one meeting, resulting in a total of 22 B2B meetings. Companies from the Basque Country Technology Park recorded a particularly strong level of participation, both in terms of the number of organisations registered and the volume of meetings held with the leading companies.
