The 15th ITS Euskadi Congress will be held on 15 November

The Mobility and Logistics Cluster of the Basque Country is organising this event on technologies, solutions and intelligent services for mobility, with the support of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.

The opening ceremony will be attended by the Provincial Councillor Carlos Alzaga and the Councillor Nora Abete.

Experiences such as the Bizkaia toll system, the London Low Emission Zone, the Cairo monorail and the Itzulia cycling accident will be analysed.

On 15 November, the Bilbao Maritime Museum, Itsasmuseum, will host the fifteenth edition of the ITS Euskadi Congress, an event that brings together the industrial sector working on products, technologies, solutions and services for smarter mobility, i.e. more efficient, safer and cleaner. Organised by the Euskadi Mobility and Logistics Cluster, whose headquarters are located on the Vitoria-Gasteiz Campus of the Basque Country Technology Park, and with the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, the meeting will be opened by the Regional Councillor for Infrastructures and Territorial Development, Carlos Alzaga, and the Deputy Mayor and Delegate for Mobility and Sustainability of Bilbao City Council, Nora Abete, accompanied by Eduardo Lasa, President of the cluster association:

During the meeting, 14 presentations will be given that will cover practical cases and explore the opportunities that the introduction of innovative technologies brings to Mobility. Experiences such as the unified toll management system in Bizkaia, the Low Emission Zone in London, the monorail in Cairo or the remote operation of an industrial vehicle will be presented, exploring advantages, opportunities and lessons learned. As a practical case, it will also analyse how the infrastructure influenced the Itzulia cycling accident and what opportunities autonomous inspection systems can offer to prevent it. In addition, other applications derived from the use of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, V2X (vehicle to X -everything-) connectivity or enriched maps will be presented.

ITS, Intelligent Transport Systems, are specific technologies aimed at optimising mobility. Communication and information technologies that are essential for the integrated management of the mobility of people and the industrial supply chain.

The ITS Euskadi Congress is the annual meeting point for companies and agents working in the Basque Country in the field of Mobility and Transport Technologies and presents the latest sectoral advances and the most innovative projects.
