The Basque Country Technology Park and BASQUEFIK connect innovative companies with the Basque financial and investment ecosystem
The events held at the Zamudio/Derio and Donostia Campuses are advancing the creation of a stable channel to facilitate financing tailored to each stage of business growth.
the Basque Country Technology Park and BASQUEFIK, the Basque Financial and Investment Cluster, have taken a further step in strengthening connections between companies within the Parke ecosystem and the territory’s leading financial institutions and investors. The initiative combines the assessment of financing needs with direct networking events designed to generate real collaboration and investment opportunities.
Two events to unlock new opportunities
The first event, held on 16 September at the Zamudio/Derio Campus, brought together more than 40 professionals from 30 companies, investment funds, financial institutions and public bodies. The session provided an opportunity to share funding needs, identify barriers to accessing capital and discuss solutions for projects at different stages of development.
The event opened with presentations from the Basque Country Technology Park and BASQUEFIK, introducing their respective ecosystems. This was followed by a round-table discussion featuring representatives from Vicomtech, Multiverse Computing, LABORAL Kutxa and Talde Gestión, moderated by Norgestión, where participants shared experiences and explored opportunities for collaboration. The session concluded with a group workshop aimed at encouraging the exchange of ideas and gathering reflections, assessments and proposals to foster new connections among attendees.
The initiative continued on 22 October at the Donostia Campus, with around 40 participants attending.
During this session, Parke companies Photokrete, Biobide (BIAT), Trebezia, Surion and Alerion presented their projects to more than 25 financial institutions and investment organisations. The format encouraged direct engagement and enabled participants to explore funding options tailored to the specific needs of each project.
Following the success of the forum, work is now under way to establish a permanent channel linking Parke companies with the financial and investment ecosystem.
This collaboration strengthens K-impulse’s role as an intermediary and support hub, helping companies gain access to financing instruments tailored to their needs, from early-stage development through growth, consolidation and business transformation.
