The charity concerts of the ‘RenHacer Festival’ organised by the Columbus Foundation are back

The main objective of the RenHacer Festival is to raise funds to promote clinical trials and facilitate access to gene therapies for children suffering from ultra-rare diseases.
It will be held on 11 September at the Rioja Forum (Logroño), on 13 September at the Arantzazu Sanctuary and on 14 September at the Euskalduna in Bilbao.
The Columbus Foundation, based at the Donostia Campus of the Basque Technology Park, has organised the fourth edition of the RenHacer Charity Festival, which will be held from 6 to 14 September in Arantzazu, Bilbao and Logroño, with the aim of raising funds to support the CTNNB1 Association, a non-profit organisation that works to provide support to families and promote research into this rare disease.
The main objective of the RenHacer Festival is to raise funds to promote clinical trials and facilitate access to gene therapies for children suffering from ultra-rare diseases. This year, the funds raised will go to support the CTNNB1 Association, which is participating in the fundraising effort as a collaborator of the CTNNB1 Foundation to promote the start of the first clinical trial in 2025 on this genetic mutation that currently affects five children in the Basque Country and 35 throughout Spain.
A youth programme in Arantzazu to raise awareness and address concerns
In this edition, and with the collaboration of LABORAL KUTXA, an experience aimed exclusively at young people has been organised in Arantzazu on 13 September. With the aim of raising awareness among young people about ultra-rare diseases and bringing them not only top-level music, but also the latest advances in gene therapy, a session has been organised where girls and boys will have the opportunity to meet and share their questions and thoughts with expert scientists in this field. It will be a full day and free of charge until capacity is reached, thanks to the collaboration of LABORAL KUTXA, which will include transportation and meals. To take part in this unique opportunity that combines science and music, you must register by sending an email to info@fundacioncolumbus.org
