BIC Bizkaia at Campus Zamudio/Derio has hosted an event designed to showcase the entrepreneurial ecosystem, exchange experiences and foster collaboration, with participation from Basque Country Technology Park companies P4Q Health (Qassay) and Quest Biotek.

More than 50 professionals and company representatives have taken part in a new edition of “Pintxo BIC Bizkaia”, an initiative aimed at showcasing the incubated ecosystem, exchanging experiences and fostering collaboration. Sabin Goitia, Director of Entrepreneurship at BEAZ, welcomed attendees and introduced the event, which took place on Friday 30 October in the Multipurpose Room at BIC Bizkaia, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Among the startups presented during the event were two Park companies: P4Q Health (Qassay) and Quest Biotek. In the case of P4Q Health, the company’s Business Development Manager, Gorka Alapont, presented the activities of this preventive healthcare specialist, which combines rapid diagnostic technology with personalised supplementation.

Representing Quest Biotek, Scientific Director Julián Cuesta and Head of Operations Deborah Ercoreca presented the company’s activities to attendees. The startup specialises in oral implantology and its activities include the development of dental implant systems and high-precision integrated prosthetic solutions for dentists and laboratories.

With a clear focus on the health sector, the event also featured Idoia Muñoz, General Manager of the Basque Health Cluster, who presented an overview of the Medtech Ecosystem in the Basque Country, as well as representatives from Cardiva and Bexen Cardio.

Kluba Health Lab

In this context, the Basque Country Technology Park introduced attendees to its new health promotion initiative within the BeParke Kluba programme. Kluba Health Lab offers an annual programme of talks, workshops and practical seminars on holistic wellbeing, physical activity, nutrition, prevention, emotional health and other areas related to health and quality of life.

These activities are open to anyone working at the Basque Country Technology Park and can be accessed through the BeParke Kluba website. The next Kluba Health Lab event will be the talk “Women’s Health: Key Habits to Boost Your Energy and Concentration”, which will take place on 26 November in Building 101 at Campus Zamudio/Derio, with online access available for Araba and Gipuzkoa.

Work is also under way to organise talks on strength training, in collaboration with Baigene, as well as a specific event focusing on breast cancer.
