CEIT and TECNALIA bring together more than 70 experts for the 8th Powder Metallurgy Congress
The CEIPM2023 Powder Metallurgy Congress, one of the most important at national and Latin American level, will take place at the Donostia Campus of the Basque Technology Parks on 29, 30 and 31 May.
Powder metallurgy has become a key manufacturing technique for industries such as the automotive, aerospace, biomedical, electronics and energy sectors.
The Congress will be a forum for technical and scientific discussion for the exchange of ideas and experiences between academia and industry, where attendees can learn about the latest innovations and market trends in powder metallurgy and manufacturing.
Powder metallurgy has become a key manufacturing technique in a wide range of industries, such as the automotive, aerospace, biomedical, electronics and energy sectors. It is a production process based on the compaction and sintering of metal powders to produce high quality parts with complex shapes, very tight tolerances and at affordable costs, such as gears, engine components, medical implants, cutting tools and structural parts among others.
The CEIT Technology Centre and the TECNALIA Research and Technological Development Centre are organising one of the most important events in this field in Spain and Latin America. This is the VIII National Congress on Powder Metallurgy and III Ibero-American Congress, called CEIPM2023, which will be held on the Donostia Campus of the Euskadi Technology Parks on 29, 30 and 31 May 2023.
During these three days, CEIPM2023 will become a forum for technical and scientific discussion for the exchange of ideas and experiences between academia and industry, where attendees will be able to learn about the latest innovations and market trends in powder metallurgy and manufacturing.
Around 70 speakers will present their studies on key thematic areas, such as powder manufacturing, additive manufacturing, other powder metal processing techniques, lightweight materials, functional materials, hard and ultra-hard materials, structural powder metal parts, characterisation techniques, modelling, applications, etc.
Plenary lectures will be given by internationally recognised experts from organisations such as Aubert & Duval, the University of Trento, Stadler and Addimat, as well as 15 thematic sessions and round tables.
In short, professionals attending the congress will have the opportunity to learn about everything from the basics of materials science to the latest achievements in manufacturing technologies, industrial applications and their integration into the circular economy.
