Guided tours of a reference infrastructure, the Molecular and Functional Imaging Platform of CIC biomaGUNE
On 7 and 8 November, both companies and the general public will be able to visit for the first time, within the framework of the APTE Innovation Spaces initiative, organised by the Association of Technology Parks of Spain.
Thanks to the Innovation Spaces initiative, promoted by the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE), the scientific community, companies, civil society and public administrations will be able to get to know this type of ‘benchmark’ infrastructures.
Specifically, the CIC biomaGUNE Molecular and Functional Imaging Platform, located on the Donostia Campus, has been selected from the Euskadi Technology Park.
The Molecular and Functional Imaging Platform is a benchmark facility in Europe in the field of preclinical molecular and functional imaging. This facility constitutes, by the sum of its experimental techniques – Radiochemistry, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Optical Tomography (OT) – as well as the animal facility that has the AAALAC international quality accreditation, the largest biomedical imaging technology platform that has been created to date, not only in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country but also in Spain, and is fundamentally oriented towards the development of new applications of nanomaterials in biomedicine.
CIC biomaGUNE will open its doors on 7 and 8 November for a series of guided tours to learn more about this unique infrastructure with the aim of raising awareness and promoting the capabilities and opportunities it offers.
On Thursday 7 November the visits are aimed at companies and organisations, while on Friday 8 November the visit will be open to the general public.
