On 19 June, experts from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Osalan and Ulma Handling Systems will speak at the course “Human-Centred Intralogistics. People-centred solutions”, organised by the Basque Country Mobility and Logistics Cluster as part of the University of the Basque Country’s summer courses, at the Miramar Palace in San Sebastián. During the session, they will analyse how intralogistics automation is evolving towards more advanced models which, in addition to improving operational efficiency and productivity, incorporate benefits in terms of health and safety at work, and provide a solution to the skills shortage, transforming operational roles into more skilled and attractive jobs.

The course is designed with a practical focus, aimed at professionals in the fields of business, industry, logistics and people management. It covers areas such as operations and supply chain management; logistics, production, warehousing and distribution; engineering and professionals in innovation, automation and production systems; consultants in operations, digital transformation and Industry 4.0; technology centres, innovation bodies and companies providing intralogistics and technology solutions. It will also be relevant for human resources professionals in industrial settings; and others involved in occupational risk prevention, industrial safety and the training of future professionals.
