MugiBIKE XL: Cycling to Vitoria-Gasteiz Campus on an e-bike could be free

We’re always on the lookout for sustainable and healthy ways to get to Vitoria-Gasteiz Campus.

You can now cycle along the cycle path from Vitoria-Gasteiz, and many of you are already making the journey to work by bike.

Not sure if this mode of transport is for you? To give it a try, we’ve joined Vitoria-Gasteiz’s new municipal electric bike initiative, MugiBIKE XL.

This initiative offers you the chance to have an electric bike for 3 months for your personal use, so you can discover this healthy way of getting around.

And if you make at least 8 trips a month between Vitoria-Gasteiz and Parke, we’ll subsidise the cost of the service.

You can sign up by filling in the form before 15 June. Places are limited.

Once you have completed the registration, please follow the steps below.

PROCEDURE:

• Register as a user on the MugiBIKE XL initiative app. You will be placed on the waiting list in order to gain access to a bicycle.
• Once bicycle availability has been confirmed, you must notify us at cs.araba@parke.eus so that we can register your reimbursement request. Requests will be considered in order of registration, as places are limited.
• Once the fee has been paid, you may use the bicycle for personal use.
• At the end of the rental period, provided that you have met the requirement of a minimum of 8 journeys per month between Vitoria-Gasteiz and Parke, we will reimburse the cost of the service.
• By registering, you authorise the company responsible for managing the initiative to confirm to Parke whether you have met the aforementioned requirement, as the bicycles are geolocated.

MugiBIKE XL is the long-term rental option offered by Vitoria-Gasteiz’s municipal electric bike service. For a monthly fee of €29.90, you can use a bike as if it were your own, taking it home and charging it there.

What does this plan include?

Personal, ongoing use: You have an electric bike at your disposal for up to 3 months.

Maintenance included: This covers repairs and maintenance on demand, which you can arrange directly via the mobile app.

Freedom of movement: It’s ideal for regular daily commutes, as it gives you the complete freedom of having your own bike and taking it wherever you need to go.
