Javier Ruiz takes up the position of Technical and Innovation Director
José Giraldo becomes the new Quotes and Project Production Director

AR Racking, specialist in industrial storage solutions, has restructured its technical management in order to accompany the company’s growth with its ongoing commitment to innovation and development. The technical management area will therefore be reorganised into two major areas: Technical and Innovation Area and Quotes and Project Production Area.

This means that Javier Ruiz, who up until now was Product Manager, will take up the role of Technical and Innovation Director, leading product innovation, and the technical development teams in calculation tools, productivity and documentation. Ruiz, who has spent almost 15 years leading AR Racking’s storage system improvements, has a wealth of experience in managing large teams, exhaustive product knowledge and a long track record in development.

For his part, José Giraldo will leave his role as Senior Project Engineer and become the new Quotes and Projects Production Director, managing the engineering teams and designers of AR Racking’s different business units. Giraldo’s solid track record in large projects is an endorsement in this new stage.

Innovation and collaborations

The technical management restructuring fulfils an ongoing improvement commitment rooted in AR Racking’s corporate culture. Research and innovation are the founding principles of the company’s trajectory, having a technology centre dedicated exclusively to R&D&I activities at the head office in Zamudio (Bizkaia, Spain).

Furthermore, in 2021 AR Racking and the University of the Basque country signed an agreement to collaborate in a research programme in the form of the AR Racking Research Centre: Storage Solutions at the School of Engineering of Bilbao belonging to the university in this city. Likewise, since 2019 AR Lab, a Research and Testing Laboratory project signed in collaboration with the University of Mondragón has also been in operation.
