The Basque Hydrogen Corridor adds two new partners, Saitec and Bureau Veritas, bringing the total to 75 members and 54 projects

Bizkaia, News

The BH2C Quarterly Board of Directors, at its headquarters in the Energy Intelligence Center Building (EIC) of the Abanto Campus of the Euskadi Technology Park, has announced the incorporation of two new partners, Bureau Veritas Sustainable Fuels Management and Saitec, with one project each, which means that BH2C now has 75 members and 54 projects from its partners throughout the value chain, making it a lever for transforming the productive fabric and maintaining the weight of industry in the Basque economy.

On the one hand, Bureau Veritas contributes a project that develops a laboratory for the determination of hydrogen purity and control of electrolysis, called H2Puritylab, with resources to analyse hydrogen according to the specifications for the use of hydrogen in mobility with fuel cells, as well as resources to verify the purity of water at the inlet of electrolysers.

On the other hand, Saitec engineering is joining the BH2C with a production project, specifically OFFSHORE WIND, a research project on the offshore renewable hydrogen generation process on a floating wind platform. The project aims to exploit this potential by coupling the direct production of green hydrogen to offshore wind energy, contributing to a significant reduction in hydrogen generation costs.

Openness to society

The Association has also emphasised the search for alliances, cooperation and partnerships to strengthen and grow the BH2C, as well as participation in different fairs and events. The dissemination and communication of its activities is crucial for the recognition and visibility of the companies’ activity. In this sense, the weekly newsletter that until now was sent to 385 people of the associated companies, becomes public, and anyone interested can receive it after registration through the website of the association: BH2C, where you will also find news of both the BH2C and the sector.

About the BH2C
