Innotech by Innobasque, new space at the Machine-Tool Biennial for the dissemination of innovative projects co-financed by Europe

It will host presentations on projects by leading Basque organisations from different sectors co-funded by European programmes such as Horizon Europe, H2020, Smart Eureka and Eurostars-2.

During the event, posters explaining the projects carried out by CIDETEC, EXOM Engineering, IDEKO, IKERLAN, LORTEK, Mondragon Corporation, Tecnalia and Tekniker will be on display so that all those attending can find out about the initiatives.

Access is free of charge for Innobasque partner organisations, subject to prior registration.  

The Basque Innovation Agency, Innobasque, will be present at the Biennial Exhibition of Machine Tools (BIEMH) to be held at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) from 3 to 7 June, with its own space called Innotech by Innobasque, located in Pavilion 4 of the exhibition space.   

Conceived as an exhibition and conference area, it will host presentations and explanatory panels on innovative projects co-financed by European programmes. Specifically, a total of 19 research and innovation projects, led by organisations of the stature of CIDETEC, EXOM Engineering, IDEKO, IKERLAN, LORTEK, Mondragon Corporation, Tecnalia and Tekniker, and co-financed with European funds through the Horizon Europe, H2020, Smart Eureka and Eurostars-2 programmes, will form part of this Innobasque Innotech Area.

Collaborative models between universities, technology centres and companies in the field of R&D&I will also be presented.

The presentations will take place on 3, 4 and 5 June (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday), between 11.00 and 13. 00 hours, in which projects of great interest and special relevance will be presented, such as: the development of advanced laser technologies to optimise manufacturing processes in sectors such as the automotive and aerospace industries; the implementation of adaptive production systems that integrate AI; big data and digital twins to improve cooperation between humans and AI systems; the manufacture of composite materials in the aerospace industry and the improvement of sustainability and the circular economy in manufacturing.
